Bands NOT TO MISS at Bloodstock Festival 2025
With 2025’s headliners already being epic (Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira), it’s not a surprise that this years has pretty much sold out at record speed. However, if you need some more bands to view during the days, then here’s some to add to your itinerary!
GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS
From Suffolk, England, Ghosts of Atlantis are a 5 piece dark symphonic band that formed in 2019. They’ve previously turned with Fear Factory and Butcher Babies, after their successful sophomore album “Riddles of the Sycophants” grabbed the attention of many. They’ve got a new single “Melkin’s Tale” dropping on the 29th July, with the video releasing on the 1st August. Being labelled a new chapter, we can’t wait to see what the group bring to Bloodstock.

PHOENIX LAKE
Formed originally as Descending Angels in 2018, this melodic metal band is raining upon us from Nottingham. If you like other bands such as Within Temptation and Evanescence, keep your eye on these. Lana Phillis’ strong vocals cry over demanding demanding guitar riffs with relentless energy. They’ve already graced Bloodstock with their presence in 2023, and have recently played at Call Of The Wild Festival and Hammerdown Festival. The groups most recent release, “Woven in Time” is strong and well-rounded. You’ll find me near the front to watch these this year, that’s for sure!

PALEFACE SWISS
Paleface Swiss are a deathcore band from Switzerland, hammering listeners ears with explosive blast kicks and savage guitars and screams. My first time hearing “Please End Me” had me stanking so unbelievably hard! After recently raising the roof at Impericon, and releasing their third album “Cursed”, I would not be surprised at seeing one of the hardest mosh pits at this years Bloodstock belonging to these guys. If you guys like old Slipknot, Whitechapel and Kublai Khan (who will also be at Bloodstock this year), get to streaming these guys NOW.

LN
Newcastle based LN are a vigorously captivating pagan/viking style metal band who’ve been releasing banger after banger since 2022.
Their live experiences are captivating and alive, the energy ferocious and bloodthirsty, yet bewitching and alluring. They have recently dropped their new single “Summon”, with an ear-grabbing riff, and a mixture of melodious clean and fry vocals. If you like bands like Amon Amarth and Heilung, get these lot on your radar quick!

DOGMA
An All-women Powerhouse is exactly what we need more of. Their cover of Madonna’s “Like A Prayer” is crystal clear, with crisp tones, harmonising guitar solos and a hell of a demanding voice to lead. They’re theatrical, sensual, aggressive, sinister, unapologetic. This rebellious group supported Wind Rose in 2024, and the mystery syndicate living by 13 principles to encourage true expressionism and freedom. If you like other acts like Ghost and Arch Enemy, and you have a love for an 80’s metal influence, you’ll love Dogma.

WATERLINES
The “Dirtbags from the North” have arrived, and boy are they ready. This metal core 4 piece formed in 2022 bring elements of nu-metal, hardcore and surprising EDM elements to the stage.
Previously headlining the Jagermeister Stage at Bloodstock 2023, these guys had the tent bouncing with dirty vocals and a soundscape so fluid yet fitting. Managing to take these different genres and fusing them together in such a creative way, it’s flooring. They’ve just been at Hammerdown and Mengata Festival, and if for some silly reason you miss them at Bloodstock, they’ll also be at Amplified Festival later in September.

With their last 2 albums Memento More and Fegefeuer both reaching No.1 in the German album charts, these modern folk metal alums are reaching the pinnacle of metal glory. Their 12th album Knightclub is due to release next month, and by the sound of the title single, it’s going to be bouncy, energetic, and anthemic.
